Catalpa

 The Northern Catalpa tree is a hardy, fast growing ornamental tree often found in Iowa landscapes, known for its large heart-shaped leaves, white orchid-like flowers in June, and long bean-like seed pods. The tree is has weak wood but can have a 60 year lifespan.
